Basic Requirements
1) Good magnetic conductivity and low loss. Usually, the iron core of large motors should undergo an iron loss test, and the measured specific loss value should not exceed 1.3 times the standard loss per kilogram of silicon steel sheet used at a frequency of 50Hz and a magnetic flux density of 1T. After the temperature of the iron core stabilizes, its maximum temperature rise should be less than 25K, and the temperature difference between different parts should be less than 15K. If the temperature rise is too large, there may be a local short circuit.
2) Good rigidity and low vibration. For the iron core that is tightly pressed and fastened, a certain pressure should be maintained between the laminations, usually 1.5-2.0 MPa for large motors and 0.7-1.0 MPa for small motors.
3) There is good ventilation and cooling effect in the structural layout. In large and medium-sized motors using radial ventilation, in order to allow cooling gas to blow through the middle part of the iron core and achieve good cooling effect, the iron core is divided into many stacked segments along the axial direction. Each section is 30-60mm long, and there are 6-10mm wide ventilation slots between sections to form radial ventilation channels.
4) The inner diameter and groove size of the laminated iron core should meet the design accuracy requirements. Especially for micro motors, in addition to requiring the iron core to be tightened to prevent short circuits between the laminations, it is also necessary to ensure that the groove indexing accuracy reaches the level of angular grading, otherwise it will seriously affect the accuracy index of the motor.
